Creator & Maker in Residence Programme
We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a 3 year contract to continue our work at Fingal Makerspace.
Fingal Makerspace, located on the 1st floor of Blanchardstown Library, is a hub for innovation, creativity, and education. Our programs focus on maker-centered learning, promoting self-discovery, knowledge, and confidence through problem-solving, collaboration, and technology.
This journey started back in 2021 when we were first awarded the Creator & Maker in Residence Programme. Fingal Makerspace was born and since then, we've inspired 2500+ young people and adults who have participated in our workshops and courses at Fingal Makerspace to date. Today, we're more committed than ever to our mission: nurturing creativity and inclusion through the activity of making.
This renewal marks an important chapter in our journey as well as an acknowledgement of the significant value of accessible hands-on creative education programmes in our communities. We have always believed that libraries are best placed to provide these services and we are grateful to Fingal County Council for their continued support for this project.
We look forward to continuing to spark curiosity, promote lifelong learning, and build stronger connections within our communities over the coming years.
The future belongs to makers!
