Creator & Maker in Residence Programme 2021 - 2025
Fingal Makerspace, located on the 1st floor of Blanchardstown Library, is a hub for innovation, creativity, and education. Our programs focused on maker-centered learning, promoting self-discovery, knowledge, and confidence through problem-solving, collaboration, and technology.
This journey started back in 2021 when we were first awarded the Creator & Maker in Residence Programme. Fingal Makerspace was born and since then, we've inspired 6000+ young people and adults who have participated in our workshops and courses at Fingal Makerspace to date. Our mission, to nurture creativity and inclusion through the activity of making.
The makerspace in library movement acknowledges the significant value of accessible hands-on creative education programmes in our communities. We have always believed that libraries are best placed to provide these services and we are grateful to work with libraries throughout Ireland to support this work.
We look forward to continuing to spark curiosity, promote lifelong learning, and build stronger connections within our communities through their libraries over the coming years.
The future belongs to makers!
